School Wide Acknowledgement System (Scholarships)
Rhodes Elementary issues Scholarships to students who exemplify our three schoolwide expectations; Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe. Professors and staff hand out Scholarships before and after school, at recess and lunch, and even when Scholars are walking across campus! Scholarships can be redeemed for rewards on Tuesdays in the Scholarship Store. The Scholarship Store rewards are given out on a monthly basis.
Professors and Staff will be looking for the following behaviors:
- Safe - walking on the blacktop; helping a friend tie their shoe
- Respectful - helping others, being a problem solver
- Responsible - picking up supplies after playing; reporting facilities problems
Scholars in our primary grades may redeem their Scholarships for Otter Pops on select days after school. Upper grade Scholars can enter their scholarships into a drawing to win gift cards from places such as Panda Express and In-n-Out! Families can support students receiving Scholarships by emphasizing the 3 B’s at home and out in the community. Parents/Guardians can also support the process by volunteering in our Scholarship Store.
